Transmitter
The BTX-SB Series are S-band full-digital FM transmitters for Telemetry. Besides the RF circuits, most functional blocks are built into the integrated processor while the analog parts are subject to minimal use. The transmitters are thereby impervious to environmental changes and age, unlike many other analog transmitters. The other key features are as follows.
Transmitter-1
  • Full digital 5/10W transmitter
  • 2200 to 2400MHz, 100kHz step
  • 100kbps to 20Mbps
  • IRIG-106 Tier I PCM/FMMSK, GMSK, GFSK by configuration
  • Supplementary functions (Randomizer/PRBS)
  • Easy configuration by the dedicated software
Frequency band Users have a 200MHz programmable tuning range within 2200MHz to 2400MHz in steps of 100kHz. The frequency stability is within ±0.0002%. Byers can select the output power of either 5W or 10W when ordering.
Data rate The transmit data rate is adjustable between 100kbps and 20Mbps in steps of 1kbps. Users can select from two digital interfaces, the RS422 or TTL. The input bit stream is either asynchronous or synchronous with the clock provided by the user.
Waverform Basically the IRIG-106 Tier I waveform, PCM/FM is the default. Depending on the application, users can select another from among MSK, GMSK and GFSK by reconfiguring the transmitters with the software since they are all full-digital so as to be highly flexible. The built-in PCM encoder allows for conversion of the input stream into one of the six codes specified in the IRIG-106.
Supplementary functions In addition to functioning primarily as a transmitter, the BTX-SB series are equipped with several useful functions including a Randomizer for energy dispersion and PRBS Pattern Generator for BER test. The Randomizer also helps the receiver track the optimal transmit time by enriching the transition of a dull transmit stream.
Dedicated software The dedicated GUI software allows users to easily configure the transmitter in accordance with the operational purpose. It completes the SDR nature of the transmitters.

Receiver
The BRX-SB series are s-band full -digital FM receivers used for telemetry. Besides the RF circuits, most functional blocks are built into the integrated processor while the analog parts are subject to minimal use. The receivers provide an optional coherent detection, up to 3dB superior to a conventional non-coherent detection. The other staple features include a BERT, a De-randomizer and a PCM Decoder The software allows for easy access to all the features.
Receiver-1
  • Full Digital receiver
  • 2200 to 2400MHz, 100kHz step
  • 100kbps to 20Mbps
  • IRIG-106 Tier I PCM/FM detection
  • MSK, GMSK and GFSK detectable
  • Optimal detection as an option
  • Supplementary Functions(BERT/De-randomizer)
  • Easy configuration by the dedicated software
Frequency Users have a 200MHz tuning range within 2200MHz to 2400MHz in steps of 100kHz. The frequency stability is within ±0.0002%. The input dynamic range is as wide as 90dB and the sensitivity is dependent on the data rate
Data rate The receive data rate is adjustable berween 100kbps and 20Mbps in steps of 1kbps. Users can choose the output digital interface, either RS422, TTL or the Ethernet, at the time of ordering. Two digital output ports are provided and each may be either data or clock by configuration.
FM detection Basically the IRIG-106 Tier I waveform, PCM/FM, is the default. Depending on the application, users can select another from among MSK, GMSK and GFSK by reconfiguring the receiver. In addition to the conventional non-coherent detection, the receivers allow users to choose the optimal coherent detection as an option. Sensitive to synchronization, the optimal detection performs best with such precise digital transmitters as the BTX-S series.
Supplementary functions Besides the key capability as a receiver including high performance AGC and AFC, the BRX-SB series has useful functions such as a BERT for quantification of link performance, the De-randomizer for energy dispersion and timing recovery, and the PCM Decoder covering a set of six codes specified in IRIG-106
Dedicated software The GUI software allows users not only to easily configure the receiver according to the operational purpose but also to monitor the performance. It completes the SDR nature of the receivers.

FTS Receiver
BTR is a secure-tone based UHF full-digital flight termination receiver for FTS. Besides the RF circuits, most functional blocks are implemented on the integrated processor while analog parts are subject to minimal use. The receiver is so sensitive as to be capable of detecting a weak signal at as low as -110dBm. The other staple features include a set of MHA-secured codes and reconfigurable registers. In regard to the en씨 ronmental standards including EMI/EMC, vibration and shock, the BTR has been fully tested in compliance with MIL-STD-461F.
FTS Receiver-1
  • Full digital FTR
  • 420 to 450MHz
  • Secure tones
  • IRIG standard RCC 313-01
  • MIL-STD-461F, Space Systems
  • MHA-secured codes
  • Reconfigurable registers for code updates
RF features Users can choose a frequency within 420MHz to 450MHz in steps of 100kHz as the time of ordering. The frequency stability is within ±0.0002%. The occupied band width of the received signal is 90kHz. The 3dB and 60dB bandwidths for IF the filter are 180kHz and 360kHz, respectively. The input dynamic range is as wide as 100dB, 0 ~ -100dBm. The received Signal inherits the nature of FM modulated signals so that it is immune to non-linear distortions and frequency drift. The test conditions for the BTR conform to IRIG RCC 313-01.
Signal detection All key functional blocks are built into a single integrated processor, minimizing the analog portion of the baseband circuit. The BTR, as a result, is relatively unaffected by changes in the operating environment. Benefiting from the state-of-art DSP techniques, the high performance narrow tone filters are integrated in form of a filter bank based on TDM . This minimizes use of logic resources.
Supplementary functions While being primarily used as an FTR including high performance AGC and AFC, the BTR also features a monitoring frame for internal status and the received power monitoring signal.
Mechanical robustness The robustness of the BTR has been verified under the conditions specified in MIL-STD-810G. The PCB and the mechanical designs of the BTR allow it to be mounted on space systems.
Reconfigurable registers The reconfigurable registers allow the user to change the code set at any time for security purposes.
